We believe that every home, family, and business has their own specific needs that change over time. We work hard to partner with our clients to prepare an insurance package for their current needs, but then invest in a long-term relationship to make changes as their needs change.
After starting our careers in claims, Tom and I found ourselves drawn to agency. With our first hand experience working with people in the midst of their misfortune of having a claim, we felt that we could also help when designing a package to meet their insurance needs. With a combined total of over 25 years in claims handling and management, we moved to the agency side of insurance and started Nebraska Innovative Insurance.
Meet the Team
Tom started his insurance career with Allied Insurance in 1994. He worked as claims adjuster handling a wide variety of claims. He then moved into a Claims Manager role and remained there until leaving and starting Nebraska Innovative Insurance. Tom graduated from the University of Nebraska with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. He enjoys hunting, golfing and spending time with his friends and family.
Kari started her insurance career in 2001 with Allied Insurance as a Claims Adjuster. She moved to Buckeye State Mutual Insurance in 2004 as a Resident Field Adjuster and then taking a position as Claims Manager for a five state area in 2005. Kari joined Tom at Nebraska Innovative Insurance in 2014. She graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan with a B.S. in Psychology and graduated from Gonzoga University with a M.A. in Organizational Leadership. Kari enjoys anything to do with family, friends or horses.
Jacob started working in the insurance industry with an internship in an Independent Agency, while obtaining his B.S. in Finance from the University of Nebraska. Upon graduating he became a Commercial Lines Underwriter with Allied Insurance. Jacob joined Nebraska Innovative Insurance in 2015! Jacob enjoys golf, the Huskers and the outdoors.
Customer Service Rep/Account Manager
Jenny joined Nebraska Innovative Insurance with extensive experience working in the agency setting. Jenny not only had experience as a Customer Service Rep, but also handling many of the other facets of an agency. Jenny is an avid music lover and enjoys time with her husband and two children.
